By posting your haiku, you agree to the following terms:
- You will not post plagiarized content. All content must be original to the best of your knowledge. If somebody complains that we published content that wasn’t yours to submit, we will roll over like a Thai hooker and pull it. We will not fight it. We don’t have that kind of time.
- We reserve the right to re-publish posted haiku in whatever form we see fit. If somebody is stupid kind enough to give us a book deal, we’re taking it, and we’re putting the best stuff we’ve got in it. If you provide contact information, we will happily attribute your post to you. If this is the case, we will contact you by email and give you 14 days to respond before attributing it to whatever username you’ve provided.
- We reserve the right to edit your post for grammar, title, capitalization, and punctuation. Should we suddenly discover we’re not lazy, we may even add graphics, but probably not. We will not change the content or wording of the post.
- Due to the unlikely but possible overwhelming nature of submissions, you will only be notified of publishing if you have requested this option (and if our software is working properly). Check the site often if you don’t enable this request.
- We reserve the right to not publish your post if it does not match the theme of the site, or if we suspect plagiarism, or if we think it sucks.
- We will never, ever share your contact information for any reason at any time (with the possible exception of rule #1 being broken). We reserve the right to use your contact information ourselves only if we wish to further attribution (see rule 2), suggest an edit to your post that we are not allowed to make (see rule 3), or wish to extend an invitation to author on our site. We will never send you spam. We hate spam as much as you do.
